Student Information
We are excited to be able to allow visiting students to attend in-person. The symposium is open on a first-come-first-served basis to the first 150 undergraduate student registrants from colleges and universities worldwide. Students must be between the ages of 18 and 26 to participate. There is a limit of four students per college or university. Additional registrants from a given university will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if student openings become available.
When is registration open for visiting students and faculty?
- Visiting students and faculty registration is open from fall of 2024 through Dec. 4, 2024.
- Effective Jan. 1, 2025, you may modify your registration to allow for adding sessions to learn from the speakers.

When registering as a Visiting Student, you will be lodged in the cadet lodging facilities. Before starting your registration, please be prepared to have the following information.

If you plan to stay off-base, or visiting student registration has reached capacity, you may register as a community attendee starting Jan. 8, 2025. A link to register as a community member will be posted on our website then. NCLS registration

Lodging
Undergraduate student participants aged 18-26, who have completed the registration requirements process will be housed at no cost in the Academy cadet dormitories. The two dorms, Vandenberg Hall and Sijan Hall, are co-ed with separate restrooms. When registering, students may request a specific cadet with whom they wish to room. Although not every request can be guaranteed, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Due to space constraints, we will only provide lodging for the first 200 visiting students. Rooming assignments for visiting students will be done and announced toward the end of January.
Meals
Student participants will be provided with meals at a cost for the duration of the conference. The cost of the meals in Mitchell Hall will be available at the time of registration and payment must be completed in-person at registration on Feb. 19 between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Visiting students from other service academies and headquarters-sponsored AFROTC cadets will have their meal fee waived at checkout. Discounts will be automatically applied to their email address.
Payment Policy:
Cancellations for meal registrations must be done before Feb. 7, 2025 5 p.m. MST. If you have registered for meals and do not attend the event without notification of cancellation, you will be liable for the cost of the meals you registered for.
