
Bio
Captain Alexandra Potts is a Chemistry Instructor at the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA). Capt. Potts commissioned from Purdue University's Reserve Officer Training Corps program in 2014, where she also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Capt. Potts graduated pilot training from Columbus, Mississippi in 2016. Her first assignment was Dover, AFB, flying the C-5M, where she made instructor pilot. In 2020, Capt. Potts was stationed at Travis, AFB, continuing to fly the C-5M and upgrading to evaluator pilot. In 2021, Capt. Potts was selected to earn her master's degree through USAFA and the Advanced Academic Degree program (AAD). She attended California State University, Sacramento, earning her Master of Science in Chemistry in 2023 via the Air Force Institute of Technology's Civilian Institution program. Upon completion of graduate school, Capt. Potts moved to USAFA to serve as an instructor of chemistry.
