Bio
SMSgt Julie D. Crist serves as the First Sergeant for the Dean of Faculty at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is the principal advisor to the Dean on all matters affecting readiness, health, morale, welfare, quality of life, and discipline for more than 700 Officer, Enlisted, and DoD Civilians who facilitate over 500 undergraduate courses for 4,000 cadets across 32 academic disciplines.
Prior to her current position, she served as the First Sergeant for the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing at Al Dhafra Air Base located in the United Arab Emirates comprised of over 1.8 thousand joint warfighters. Additionally, SMSgt Crist has worked in numerous positions within the medical career field to include the 21st Dental Squadron Superintendent at the Area Dental Laboratory located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, and as the Flight Chief for the 59th Dental Squadron Certified Dental Laboratory located at JBSA-Lackland Air Force Base Texas where she oversaw the Air Force’s sole Medical Computer Aided Design Computer Aided Milling, Stereolithography, and Orthodontics Laboratories in direct support of DoD surgeons caring for warfighters and cancer patients.
