
Bio
Dr. Olivia Compton is an Assistant Professor of Economics for the Department of Economics and Geosciences. Born and raised in Oregon, she attended Washington State University in Pullman, Wash., majoring in Economic Sciences. Following completion of her undergraduate studies, she pursued doctoral studies in Economics at Purdue University, receiving a M.S. in 2015 and a Ph.D. in 2019. Olivia’s primary research interest are in the fields of Macroeconomics, Labor Economics, and the Economics of Crime.
