Bluebards Theatre Troupe: Legally Blonde

Come see our Bluebards Theatre Troupe perform the hit musical, “Legally Blonde.”
The musical is based on the 2001 film of the same name. It follows the story of Elle Woods as she works through Harvard Law School to prove she’s more than just a sorority girl and win her boyfriend back. Along her journey, she defies expectations and discovers her potential.
The musical, with music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin.
This musical is free and open to the public; however, members of the public who do not already have base access must pre-register here, beginning May 23, in order to drive into the installation.
Open seating (no ticket required). Seats fill fast, so plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before showtime.

Continue driving straight on Academy Drive for 4 miles and then turn left on Cadet Drive to park in the visitor lot for Arnold Hall.

Continue driving straight on Stadium for 4 miles, turn left on Academy Drive for 4 miles, and turn right on Cadet Drive to park in the visitor lot for Arnold Hall.

Prep School Graduation 2025
Monday, May 19, 2025 at 2 p.m.
Location: Arnold Hall Theater
To recognize the achievements of its Class of 2025, the U.S. Air Force Academy Preparatory School will host a ceremony at Arnold Hall Theater on May 19. Cadet candidates will hear from the Academy Superintendent and the top graduate, who will share words of experience, guidance, and congratulations to cadet candidates. The event will be followed by a reception in the Arnold Hall Ballroom at 3:30 p.m. Family, friends, and other guests can celebrate the graduates’ accomplishments in an informal setting.
Visitors to the Academy are required to have a base pass to enter the installation. Register at least 24 hours prior to the event using the link below. Guests under the age of 18 do not need to request access.

Prep School Graduation Parade
Monday, May 19, 2025 at 9 a.m.
Location: Black Memorial Field
The parade honors the graduating class and highlights their military precision. Attendees will be able to observe the drill and ceremony skills that visually and ceremonially represent their achievement as Prep School graduates.
The event is preceded by a flyover and a performance by the Wings of Blue.

2025 Armed Forces Week Concert

Mark your calendar and save the date!
The U.S. Air Force Academy Band will present the Armed Forces Week Concert on May 5, 7 p.m. at the Pikes Peak Center. At this performance, the Academy Band will be joined by members of the U.S. Naval Academy Band and the 4th Infantry Division Band from Ft. Carson. This event is free and open to the public!
For more than 60 years, the band has used music to honor veterans, motivate Air Force and Space Force members, create groundbreaking musical experiences, and showcase their excellence to a global audience.
Free tickets will be available at the Pikes Peak Center Box Office on April 19.

Basic Cadet Day Out

Location: U.S. Air Force Academy
The U.S. Air Force Academy Sponsor Program is thrilled to announce this year’s Basic Cadet Day Out (BDO) will take place Saturday, July 26.
This event offers basic cadets from the Class of 2029 their first chance to leave the Academy since the beginning of Basic Cadet Training. It is a full day dedicated to relaxation, support, and meaningful connections with local sponsor families.
As a sponsor, you’ll have the opportunity to host one or more basic cadets in your home for the day to provide them with a much-needed break before they head into the academic year. This is also a great opportunity to gain insight into the cadet experience and consider continuing your role as a sponsor and mentor throughout their journey.
If you are already an active sponsor, email the Cadet Sponsor Office to confirm your status and your desire to participate in this year’s BDO. The deadline for participating is July 1.
If you are ready to become a sponsor, contact the office to get started.

Graduation Parade
Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 9 a.m.
Location: Stillman Field
The Graduation Parade honors the graduating class and symbolizes the assumption of command by the second class. During the event, the graduating class marches away from the Cadet Wing as they pass their command to the rising first degrees.
Attendees will observe our Cadet Wing’s drill and ceremony skills as they visually and symbolically demonstrate our graduating class joining the long blue line.
This event is not open to the public. It is restricted to six guests per graduate and wristbands will be required for entry. Food trucks will be available. We recommend wearing a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
The event is preceded by a cadet aerial and honor guard demonstration, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Graduation 2025

Location: Falcon Stadium
Graduation Week is comprised of many activities and events across the U.S. Air Force Academy. Cadets and their guests take part in receptions, award ceremonies, baccalaureate services, concerts, parades, air demonstrations, and commissioning ceremonies.
The week culminates at Falcon Stadium with the Graduation Ceremony. Speakers rotate between the President of the United States, Vice President, Secretary of Defense, and Secretary of the Air Force. At the close of the ceremony, cadets are dismissed and ceremoniously toss their caps into the air. Cheers and celebration are quickly silenced by the roar of the legendary Thunderbirds flying overhead to honor the graduating class.

Wing Open 2025 Boxing Championships

Class of 2029 Swearing-In Ceremony
Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 4 p.m.
Location: Stillman Field
The basic cadets’ swearing-in ceremony is typically held the day after In-processing Day and is conducted by the commandant of cadets. Appointees take the oath of allegiance to become a basic cadet.
Family and guests are welcome to attend the event. Basic cadets form up on the parade field, starting with the first flight (A) on the left to the last flight, usually H, on the right. To ensure you’re sitting in the best location to see your cadet, verify flight information before attending. No contact with cadets will be allowed.
Cadet Oath of Allegiance
“I,________ , having been appointed an Air Force cadet in the United States Air Force, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office of which I am about to enter (So help me God).”
