Weekend of May 10th and 11th

This is your official Air Force Academy History Update for the Weekend of May 10th and 11th – 

On this day, back in 1975 — Mississippi Senator John Stennis receives the 1975 T. D. White Award during a Cadet Wing Parade.  The Academy presented the award annually to a U.S. citizen who had contributed significantly to the national defense of the United States. 

…Also this weekend, back in 2013 — FalconWorks receives a patent for the Therabalance, based on work done by Academy faculty and cadets.  The Therabalance could be used by physical therapists to help patients regain balance after strokes or injuries.
