This is your official Air Force Academy History Update for Tuesday, March 18th–
On this day, back in 2021 — Cadet Mahala Norris, Class of ’21, is named the Mountain Region Female Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches’ Association. She was just the second Academy athlete to earn a regional award, joining Cadet Hannah Everson, Class of ‘15.
…Also on this day, back in 2023 — The NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships conclude. Academy wrestler Wyatt Hendrickson, Class of ‘24, earned a third-place medal at the event held at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Air Force tied for 18th with the most team points in program history.
