Bio

Maj Davenport is an Instructor of Political Science at the United States Air Force Academy. He is a Space Force officer with 18 years of military experience. He is deputy director of the Eisenhower Center for Space and Defense Studies, enabling academic research to equip present and future leaders with the intellectual tools necessary to understand and master the challenges of the space domain. Maj Davenport has served in both subordinate components of the United States Space Command, including Joint Task Force-Space Defense (JTF-SD), and Combined Forces Space Component Command (CFSCC). Maj Davenport is an Intermediate Developmental Education (IDE) Fellow with the Institute for Future Conflict (IFC) and is conducting research which explores adapting the Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) model to the space domain, known as the Commercial Augmentation Reserve Fleet (CASR).
