Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Jackson
Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Bio
Lt Col Patrick commissioned through the United States Air Force Academy in June of 2004. He is a developmental Engineer (62E). Immediately following his commission he pursued is masters in aeronautical engineering at the Air Force Institute of Technology. Patrick then served for a time as the lead systems engineer for the GPS IIF series of satellites under the Global Positioning Systems Directorate at Los Angeles AFB, CA from 2006 to 2010. During his time at Los Angeles AFB he deployed to Al Asad Air Base from March 2010 to September 2010 as a Quality Assurance Representative for the Defense Contract Management Agency ensuring. He was then selected to become an instructor at USAFA in the mathematical sciences department and served in that position until 2013. From there he went on to pursue his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at Colorado State University and then moved on to Eglin AFB. At Eglin AFB, he served under Joint Staff J6 as part of the Joint Deployable Analysis Team evaluating and testing command and control systems for joint interoperability. After almost 3 years in that assignment he returned to the Academy as an instructor in the Mathematics department.
