This is your official Air Force Academy History Update for Tuesday, September 9th — 

On this day, back in 1992 — Walter Netsch, lead architect of the Air Force Academy, presents the Academy with the Reynolds Aluminum Award he received in 1963 for excellence in design of the Cadet Chapel.  The Cadet Chorale sang at the ceremony in the Protestant Cadet Chapel. 

…Also on this day, back in 2020 — A Southeast Asia display is unveiled in the Hall of Exemplars in Fairchild Hall.  The display, which included a map and interactive displays, was similar to one at the Southeast Asia Memorial Pavilion near Doolittle Hall.  The Class of ’70 was involved in the funding of both displays.
