Bio

I am a Mexican-born, multilingual, dual citizen, who enjoys sharing common experiences with our Hispanic and Latino students. Beyond my H.S. education in Palm Springs, California, I attended the U.S. Air Force Academy Prep School where I learned how to help those who were struggling academically, while at the same time connecting with students taking part in the athletics blue chip program. As a U.S. Air Force Academy cadet, through my track athlete experience my doolie year, I have a very good understanding of the demands placed on our U.S. Air Force Academy athletes. As a cadet NCO and cadet officer in charge of military training, I have a solid understanding of the military demands placed on our U.S. Air Force Academy cadets. Also, as an advisor and advisor-in-charge in Department of Management, I’ve developed a good understanding of the academic and life aspirations and challenges that Department of Management’s students face.

I enjoy preparing students to lead our Air Force and serve our nation, I believe in motivating young men and women for a successful life in a complex world by cultivating a desire for continuous learning, continuous training, and a value for diversity in all its forms. I show by example how one continuously strives to better themselves for the good of those he/she desires to serve. To complete this role, I relate to Department of Management’s students the challenges facing our service and our nation. From my management and operations experience in Space Command, to my acquisitions experience in Operational Test, to my analytic and diplomatic experience in Korea, I find ways to share the lessons I’ve learned to help inspire our cadets to meet these challenges.

Through my time in academia, I have had the opportunity to learn from, team with, and collaborate with various faculty inside and outside of U.S. Air Force Academy. I have a talent for bringing diverse groups of people together, creating a motivating and collaborative environment, and allowing for the mix of creativity to generate incredibly productive results. I have a passion for teaching, motivating, and mentoring the young women and men who choose U.S. Air Force Academy as their first step in preparing to serve our country. I am committed to contribute to Department of Management’s excellent academic environment by bringing my highest level of energy, intellect, and discipline in order to motivate, inspire, and guide our future Air Force officers.
