Update: Cadet Chapel to remain open until June

(U.S. Air Force Academy photo) Published Dec. 20, 2018 U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel is now scheduled to remain open until June 17. Originally scheduled to close for renovations Jan. 1, it will now remain open until the summer for cadets, visits by tourists and the various services that take place at the facility. Evaluation of the contract proposals for the repair project will take longer than planned, so we will keep the chapel open to support cadets and staff while continuing to allow visitors to enjoy it.  We will provide updates once the...

Anna Weilbacher named Rifle Athlete of the Week

At the Citadel/VMI matches in Charleston, S.C. last weekend, Weilbacher was the overall top scorer on both days of the competition, Jan. 27-28. In the first match, she fired a 581 in smallbore and 594 in the air rifle. Her aggregate score was 1175, which led all shooters in the match. Government Shutdown Impact Information

Learn how the government shutdown is affecting services and facilities at the U.S. Air Force Academy. As a result of the government shutdown, the following departments at the U.S. Air Force Academy will be affected: 10 AIR BASE WING: SECURITY & SAFETY: Defenders & firefighters are exempted. They are on post and on shifts under normal schedules. Ambulance services are contracted and remain on shift and on site.
