Parents' Weekend 2024
We express gratitude for your planning and presence in support of your cadet candidate throughout this weekend. We look forward to meeting you and celebrating the beginning of another successful year at your U.S. Air Force Academy Preparatory School.
The Prep School Parents’ Weekend begins with a parade on Black Memorial Field. Following the parade, your cadet candidate will escort you to our dormitories and drill pads for an Open House featuring academic faculty and military staff. During the Open House, the dining facility (debit/credit only) will open to all cadet candidates and their visitors, and scrimmages featuring our five uniformed sports will begin. At noon, your cadet candidate will be dismissed to enjoy their weekend with you!

| Note: Visitors will not be permitted past the Prep School bollards after dismissal & sign-out on Friday afternoon. Students must return to the Prep School by 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 2, 2024. | ||

- Debit/Credit cards for DFAC Lunch (~ $7/person– no cash)
Inclement Weather Plans
If there is rain, there will be no changes to the schedule. If there is lightning, the schedule will be revised as follows:
- The commander’s brief will change locations. Alpha Squadron will move to the Husky Theater, while Bravo and Charlie Squadrons will move to the lower basketball courts in the gym.
- The parade will be cancelled in its entirety.
- The dormitory tours will move from 9:40-10:10 a.m. to 8:30-9:30 a.m.
