Virtual Iberoamérica Summit held at USAFA

Members of the Air Force Academy’s political science and foreign language departments held a virtual Iberoamérica Summit, Sept. 7.

“The summit is expected to be an annual forum to discuss regional issues in our hemisphere,” said Lt. Col Saint-Clair Lima da Silva, Brazilian Air Force Liaison Officer and Air Force Academy Foreign Language and Department of Political Science instructor.

Members from the U.S. Naval Academy, Brazilian Air Force Academy, and Colombian Air Force Academy, among others were invited to attend the videoconference with Academy Cadets and faculty.

Panelists leading the discussion included the Academy’s Space & Defense journal editor, educators of socio-political topics, and a former USAF defense attaché.
