Account and Identity
All faculty and staff are assigned a digital ID that provides access to email accounts, networks and intranets.

Dean of Faculty Technology Staff
Col Thomas Swoveland
Colonel Thomas K. Swoveland serves as the Chief Information Officer to the Dean of the Faculty, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO. Colonel Swoveland supports the information technology requirements for the 750-member Dean of Faculty mission element including the instruction of more than 500 undergraduate courses for 4,000 cadets across 32 academic disciplines.

Mr. Bryan Gilbrech
Bryan Gilbrech is the Academic Knowledge Manager for the Dean of the Faulty at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Bryan is responsible to lead data sharing initiatives and develop best practices for faculty and staff to efficiently interact with the tools and data storage options at USAFA. Bryan is also responsible for the research, purchase and maintenance of academic software for the faculty and cadets. Bryan received a Master’s degree in Administration from Central Michigan University.

Mr. Anthony Apodaca
Anthony Apodaca serves as the Academic Web Manager for the Dean of Faculty. In his role, he manages and maintains all aspects of the Dean of Faculty web posture. From the public-facing website to building world-class applications internally. Anthony maintains advanced knowledge of Office 365 and the Power Platform including Microsoft’s Power Automate, Power-Bi, and PowerApps.
