Bio
Captain Evan C. Glowiak is an Instructor in the Department of Aeronautics at the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado. He instructs the core Aeronautical Engineering class, the Aero/Astro/System’s Engineering major’s course of Thermodynamics, is an academic advisor for fourth class cadets in Cadet Squadron 38, and is the Falcons Cycling Club Officer in Charge.
Captain Glowiak entered the Air Force in 2013 as a Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a developmental and flight test engineer, he has experience sustaining flight control systems across the worldwide C-130 fleet, modernizing Air National Guard HC-130’s to better perform personnel recovery missions, as well as flight testing manned and unmanned systems, including the RQ-4, B-1, B-2, and B-52. While at Robins AFB, Captain Glowiak became an Aircraft Battle Damage Repair Engineer for the C-130 and F-15 airframes. During his time at Edwards AFB, he accrued over 55 hours as a Flight Test Engineer in the C-12, 26 hours in the B-52, and led test planning for hypersonic weapons as the 419th FLTS Operations Engineering Flight Commander. He is a certified acquisition professional in engineering (level 2), test and evaluation (level 2), and program management (level 1). Captain Glowiak is also a co-inventor of US Patent No. 9,830,932 titled, “Active Shooter Protection System”.
