Air Force ROTC Mission:  Develop Quality Leaders for the Air Force

Air Force ROTC NW Region Mission:  Provide mentorship, training, and administrative support to 34 detachments in developing quality leaders for the Air Force

The AFROTC Northwest Region Headquarters oversees operations at 34 detachments across a 19 state region. The Region is responsible for the training, administration, and oversight of 215 cadre and 3,500 AFROTC cadets, servicing 159 universities. One of four Region Headquarters within AFROTC, the Northwest Region covers the largest geographic area within AFROTC and is responsible for commissioning approximately 15% of the officers accessed into the Active Duty Air Force each year. The largest commissioning source in the Air Force, Air Force ROTC produces 55% of all Air Force officers.
