Parents' Weekend information will be e-mailed to parents/guests who register on the Parents' Weekend Registration site via link located in the left hand column of this page. Information includes the Parents' Weekend handout, schedule of events, Superintendent letter and parking pass. All items may be printed at home. If you are not able to print the items, please ask your cadet to print the documents and send them to you or provide them upon your arrival. All documents may also be downloaded from this website here. Please make sure to coordinate your visit with your cadet, as he/she may need to pick up tickets for various events. Please do not bring backpacks or large bags to the base. If you have a handicapped placard from your state, please bring it with you so you can access the handicapped parking area. Please note that the schedule may change as we plan for Parents' Weekend 2012. Make sure to check back here to get the latest updates. The flight simulators offer many cadets a “first look” at flying and aviation in the Air Force. | 7:00 – 10:00 p.m | USAFA Observatory Open House. The USAFA Physics and Astronomy Club invites you to come view the night sky through our 24” telescope! You will have the opportunity to tour the facility, see images taken on our own 24 inch telescope, use the telescope to explore your universe first hand (weather permitting) and hear some of the incredible history and lore behind the constellations that can be seen from our vantage point, 7258 feet above sea level! | Observatory, East of Fairchild Hall | |
