Mitchell Hall Fourth-Class Luncheon
Don't miss your opportunity to experience lunch with your cadet at Mitchell Hall, the cadet dining facility, on Friday, 4 September from 12:15-1:15 p.m.! This meal is mandatory for all Fourth-Class cadets. As there is limited seating, cadets may purchase up to three tickets for their guests in Aug 2015.  Once all purchased tickets have been distributed to the squadrons, Mitchell Hall will make any remaining tickets available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis. Since cadets must purchase tickets for their guests, please make sure to coordinate with your cadet so he/she knows how many tickets to purchase for you! Lunch is also available at various other venues around the Cadet Area, including the Visitor Center, Arnold Hall and the Field House.

Parents' Weekend Information and Registration
Links to important Parents' Weekend information will be e-mailed to parents/guests who register via the Parents' Weekend Registration link located in the left navigation column of this page; registration will begin in late-July. Note that registration is not required but is simply a service to provide you some important information. Information includes the Parents' Weekend handout, schedule of events, Superintendent letter and parking pass. All items may be printed at home. If you are not able to print the items or do not have access to the internet, please ask your cadet to print the documents and send them to you or provide them upon your arrival. Please make sure to coordinate your visit with your cadet.

Security Requirements for Parents' Weekend 2015
The base is open to visitors daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. via the North Gate. On Friday of Parents Weekend, the North Gate will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m. You may be asked to show either a DOD ID card or your driver's license upon entry to the base. Also have available your proof of insurance and a valid vehicle registration or rental car agreement. All vehicles entering the base are subject to inspection/search by security personnel. Guests should refrain from bringing large bags, coolers, backpacks or other items that will require additional scrutiny or searches from security personnel. Note that seatbelts must be worn by all vehicle occupants at all times when driving on the Academy. The parking pass identifies your vehicle as belonging to a USAFA visitor – please print the pass and place it in your driver's side dash. Remember that the pass does not get you on base – you must show valid identification to enter the base. All non-DOD visitors must enter through the North Gate. If you have a handicapped placard from your state, please bring it with you so you can access the handicapped parking area (immediately north of Stillman Parade Field).

If Force Protection Conditions (FPCONs) change due to world events or events closer to home, some scheduled events may change or require additional security precautions for the safety of all our guests. Any event changes will be advertised in local media and on the message boards at the base entry gates.

If you have a medical, fire or police emergency, please call 911 immediately. There are several major medical facilities in Colorado Springs to handle medical situations: Memorial Hospital Central, (719) 365-5000, Memorial Hospital North, (719) 364-5000, Penrose-St. Francis, (719) 776-5000, and St. Francis Medical Center, (719) 571-1000.

Throughout Parents' Weekend, we appreciate your vigilance to ensure the safety of our cadets and visitors. Your help in the detection and reporting of criminal activities will ensure that this year’sParents' Weekend is a success. Anyone observing suspicious behavior or activity is urged to promptly report it to USAFA Security Forces at (719) 333-2000 or 333-4100. REMEMBER, IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING!

There is no cadet or guest parking permitted on the shoulders of the roads at any time. Parking in the Visitor Center lot is restricted to one hour parking only on Friday of Parents' Weekend.
