GRADUATION CEREMONY
Thursday, 28 May, 9:30 a.m. – approx. 1:00 p.m.
Falcon Stadium
Stadium Gates will open at 7:00 a.m.

Alternate ceremony viewing locations: Arnold Hall Theater & Food Court (movie-style screen and large screen television, respectively) as well as The Pentagon Channel (broadcast and webcast at http://www.pentagonchannel.mil). These locations offer indoor viewing in air conditioned (or heated!) comfort for those who cannot or should not attend the outdoor ceremony at Falcon Stadium.

Tickets: All guests (including children) must have tickets to enter the stadium. Graduating cadets will receive as many tickets as they need for their family and guests. Please coordinate your ticket requests through your cadet. There is no will-call for graduation ceremony tickets and tickets cannot be mailed. A limited number of public tickets will be made available in mid-May through the USAFA Athletic Ticket Office and the local chamber of commerce. An announcement will be made when these tickets are available.

Recommended Dress:
Ladies: Slacks, Skirt or Dress
Gentlemen: Business Suit or Coat and Tie
Military: Service Dress
Graduating Cadets: Parade Dress

Parking: No parking passes are required. All parking is in Falcon Stadium parking lots 1, 2 and 5. Handicapped parking is available in the south end of lot 5 and north end of lot 1; golf carts will shuttle guests to the stadium. No transportation will be available from the Cadet Area.

IMPORTANT SECURITY INFORMATION
: Stadium gates are scheduled to open at 7:00 a.m. Please note that once the ceremony begins at 9:30, guests will not be permitted to leave the stadium until after the conclusion of the ceremony (about 12:30-1:00 p.m.). Please ensure you make your travel arrangements accordingly. Due to security restrictions in Falcon Stadium, all guests will pass through metal detectors (or be hand-wanded) and will have purses or personal items searched. No boxes, alcohol, weapons, firecrackers, backpacks, large handbags, coolers, thermoses or similar items will be allowed in the stadium. Food and drink are limited, with the exception of clear, unopened water bottles and medically necessary food items (placed into clear ziplock bags). Cameras and video cameras are permitted; however, please be prepared to remove camera lenses for security inspection at the stadium gates. Diaper bags will be allowed when a child is present – no strollers please. Seatbacks 18" or less are permitted as long as they don't require a search due to excessive pockets and compartments. Seatbacks may also be rented from vendors at the stadium. Refreshments will be available throughout the stadium.

Handicapped Information: Please note that there are no elevators in the stadium, and handicapped-accessible seating is very limited and first-come, first-served. There is no covered seating at the stadium and the Press Box cannot be occupied at any time during the ceremony.

Handicapped seating is not ticketed or reserved, although guests must have a ticket in order to enter the stadium. Wheelchair seating is located at the top of the following sections: U-2, U-5, U-9, U-12, M-2, M-6, M-10, M-14, L-3, L-6, L-7, L-9, L-10 and L-13. The entire top row of the L sections (L-2 through L-14) is reserved for handicapped guests and is first-come, first-served. Guests are advised to arrive early for this seating. Golf carts will assist handicapped guests from the parking lot to the stadium.

Inclement Weather: In the event of severe, life-threatening weather or security response to a high-threat world situation, the ceremony could be moved into Clune Arena at the Cadet Field House. Because Clune has limited seating capacity, guests of graduating cadets would be restricted to three per cadet. Additional alternate viewing locations for the inclement weather ceremony will be in Arnold Hall and the Clune Ice Arena - cadets will have an additional 5 tickets for these venues. Because of this limited seating, we make every attempt to hold the graduation ceremony outdoors in Falcon Stadium, even in less than ideal weather conditions.

NOTE: A professional photographer will photograph each cadet receiving his or her diploma. The photographer will contact parents shortly after graduation to discuss how to purchase these photographs. Cadets' guests will not be allowed access to the stage or cadet seating area for personal photos. If you do not hear from the photographer, please contact Cadet Wing Media at (800) 379-1455 ext. 4644 or email CWMedia@usafa.edu.

Hat Toss (Approx. 12:30 p.m.)
Children (ages 7-10 only) will be allowed on the stadium floor to retrieve hats from the graduates' hat toss at the end of the ceremony. Ushers and security personnel will monitor access to the stadium floor from access points. Parents should plan to retrieve their children from the bleachers on the south-east side of the stadium. We ask that children limit themselves to one hat each.

THUNDERBIRDS DEMONSTRATION
Thursday, 28 May, 12:30–1:00 p.m. (Time approximate after grad ceremony concludes)
Skies above Falcon Stadium

Event Info:
The USAF Thunderbirds Demonstration takes place over Falcon Stadium immediately following the graduation ceremony. The team is comprised of selected pilots assigned to demonstrate the coordination, discipline and flying ability that combat-capable pilots require to fulfill their vital role in our nation's defense. For your own safety and to comply with FAA regulations, guests will not be permitted to leave the stadium until after the Thunderbirds' performance ends. Guests are not permitted in the parking lots during the demonstration. Release of helium-filled balloons from the stadium is not allowed.

GRADUATE OUT–PROCESSING
