The Graduate Studies Programs Office oversees four distinct programs which allow graduates to obtain advanced degrees immediately after commissioning: National Competitive Scholarship Program (NSCP), Endowed Scholarship Program (ESP), Graduate School Program (GSP), and Medical School Program (MSP).
NCSP. Through this program cadets are identified, mentored, and assisted in competing for international and national scholarships and fellowship, such as the Rhodes, Marshall, Truman, Fulbright, and Hertz Scholarships.
ESP . Are scholarships open only to cadets at the Academy. These scholarships are funded from "Friends of the Academy." The endowed scholarships are: General John K. Gerhart Fellowship, the Alberta Bart Holaday Scholarship, the General Richard L. Lawson Scholarship, the Earl and Marion Nutter Trust Scholarship and the Franklin C. Wolfe Scholarship.
GSP . This is a faculty development program whereby each department is responsible for identifying potential faculty members by nominating graduating cadets for admission into the GSP. This program allows cadets who graduate in the top 25% of their class, based upon their Overall Performance Average(OPA), to pursue a twelve-month master's degree program.
MSP . The Health Professions Scholarship Program is designed to allow a select group of cadets to attend Medical School . These officers will fill vacancies in the Medical Science Corps.
