The Service Academy Exchange Program was established to promote the exchange of professional, academic, and social experiences between the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy , and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
The purpose of the exchange program is to further the bonds of friendship and understanding between the separate branches of our United States military services. The spirit of camaraderie and understanding, gained through close personal experience, can contribute greatly, now and in the future, to the understanding and good relations between the service academies and the four services.
This voluntary program involves an exchange of second and a few third-class cadets during the fall and spring semester of each academic year.
For the specifics of the SAEP, please reference
Curriculum Handbook. Within the hanbook you will find information on the following: 1) how the exchange works, 2) responsibilities, 3) determining eligibility, and 4) how to apply, etc.
From USAFA, cadets and their advisors may visit the Registrar's web site. Here you will find useful tools to assist both cadets and advisors when attempting to find information about course descriptions, course offerings, and equivalent courses offered at the sister academies.
