The Strategy & Military Operations Division studies the basic concepts, principles and processes of strategy to develop a broad strategic perspective of the military profession and enhance our ability to plan and operate in the battlespace. Our focus is on context and concepts such as military transformation, the spectrum of conflict, innovation and officership, theories of power and military relations, and combined effects-based strategy and planning. We strive to stay up-to-date with strategic and military thought to ensure situational awareness of a dynamic battlespace.
