“The mission of the Department of Military & Strategic Studies is:

The Department's mission statement reflects our systematic approach to the study of military power … its context, theory and application, or “military & strategic studies.” The department is organized into two parts. The executive staff provides departmental guidance and resources for cadet and faculty development. The academic divisions (Strategy and Military Operations, Comparative Military and Strategic Studies, Research and Development, and Learning Labs) develop and deliver courses and supporting programs. Each course and program combines intellectual rigor with strategic and operational relevance to achieve our goal of developing professional Air Force officers.
