Colonel Jordan is the Management Department's Head at the U.S. Air force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Colonel Jordan received her doctorate from the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO; her masters from Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, LA; and her undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH.
Colonel Jordan entered the Air Force in 1974 through the ROTC program. During the first ten years of her Air Force career, Col Jordan was assigned to the munitions and aircraft maintenance career fields. Her assignments afforded her the opportunity to supervise in some of the Air Force's largest maintenance organizations in terms of personnel assigned, diversity of functional background, and owned assets. Her assignments included Weapons Loading Branch Chief and later Squadron Maintenance Supervisor at Andersen AFB, Guam; Hq 8 AF Nuclear/Conventional Division Chief, Barksdale AFB, LA; and Squadron Maintenance Supervisor for both the Field and the Avionics Maintenance Squadron at Plattsburgh AFB, NY. She joined the Academy faculty in 1985, departed for a three year school assignment in 1987, and returned to the faculty in July 1990. From May to Dec 1994, Colonel Jordan served as HQ EUCOM, Deputy Director Joint Contact Team, Latvia. Until her nomination to take over the department, Colonel Jordan served 4 years as Deputy Department Head of Management. While on sabbatical July 2002 to July 2004, she served as Associate Dean, Graduate School of Engineering and Management, Air Force Institute of Technology, Dayton, OH.
Colonel Jordon's professional service includes serving on AACSB's Business Accreditation Committee and she currently is the Vice Chair of the Initial Accreditation Committee. She has served as an external advisor and team member for a diverse set of schools, both international and U.S.
