The mission of the United States Air Force Academy McDermott "Academic" Library is to provide all library services required by the faculty, staff, cadets, and other authorized patrons of the USAF Academy; to requisition, organize, house and maintain all library materials; to create a reference and basic research collection in the fields of air power and aerospace history; and to establish and maintain a special collection of unique and rare items pertinent to the growth and development of the USAF Academy.
