| Requirements:
MS degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering discipline) 3-10 years commissioned time in service at time of PCS to Academy 3 years time on station at time of move to USAFA Competetive Applicants: Strong, promotable record Strong interview: excellent speaking and interpersonal skills, exemplary bearing Excellent school records Application Procedures: Contact the DFEM personnel officer through the DFEM secretary at DSN 333-2531 or email. Prepare the USAFA Assignment Application Form. Click here Collect transcripts for all colleges you attended (copies are acceptable) Collect your last five OPRs and/or training reports Get 2-3 Letters of Recommendation Have a 5"x7" full-length photo made of yourself in service dress Rated officers also submit Individual Flight Record, last two year's AF Form 8’s, and Certificate of Aircrew Qualifications E-mail the package to the personnel offier or mail it to: HQ USAFA/DFEM Timetable for Application Process: Start the application process 1 to 1.5 years before you plan on PCSing Interviews for summer arrivals should be completed no later than Aug/Sep Hiring decisions for summer arrivals is Nov/Dec Interviews for December arrivals should be completed no later than Mar/Apr Hiring decisions for December arrivals (not typical) is Jun/Jul
