Front Range Information Security Colloquium 2008

The Front Range Information Security Colloquium (FRISC) is intended to be a meeting in the front range for presentation and discussion of new ideas in the area of information security education and research. The objective is to establish a community of educators and researchers in the area and establish a forum for exploring collaborations in research and education. The colloquium is open to all educators, students, researchers, and practitioners in the area.

Keynote Presentation:

Richard George, Technology Director, NSA Information Assurance Directorate

Mr. George began at the National Security Agency in August 1970 after graduating from Dartmouth College. He started in the Crypto-Math Intern Program, having tours in Research, the SIGINT Directorate, and the Information Assurance Directorate�s (IAD) predecessor organization. Except for a tour in the Signals Intelligence Directorate and one at the Center for Communications Research in Princeton, he has worked in the IAD since 1973. He has served as technical director for organizations at various levels in the directorate, and currently serves as the Technical Director for the Information Assurance Directorate.

Friday, October 10th, 8:30am to 4:00pm,  in the Kraemer Family Library at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. From I-25 take Exit 146 east on Garden of the Gods Road. The campus is on the left.  The meeting will be held at the top floor of the El Pomar Center (the building with the clock tower).  Free parking is available to attendees.

Registration:

Attendance of FRISC will be free for everyone and includes breakfast and lunch. In order to facilitate our planning, we request that you register via email to dino.schweitzer@usafa.edu.
