The purpose of the Visiting Faculty Program is to supplement the USAF Academy faculty with visiting civilian educators from institutions of higher education or federal government employees with vast work experience.  Essential qualities expected of every faculty member include the personal attributes of integrity, industry, cooperation, initiative, and breadth of intellectual interests.  The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering typically employs one visiting professor each academic year to supplement its integrated group of civilian and military faculty.  Also see the visiting faculty FAQ page.
