How can I become part of this program?
USAF Academy civil and environmental engineering majors are automatically enrolled in CivEngr 351 and OPS CEAF. If you are currently enrolled in an ROTC program or a cadet in a service academy, see your summer programs coordinator to apply. Enrollment in a civil or environmental engineering major is a requirement for participation in this program.

Where can I learn more about the details of this program?
Follow the link to the cadet handbook to read more about what to expect during OPS CEAF and FERL.

Yeah! I've been selected to participate in OPS CEAF and FERL this summer! Now what?
Each cadet is assigned to a flight, commanded by a senior USAFA cadet. You will travel with this flight during OPS CEAF and live and work with this flight during your 3-weeks in field conditions at FERL. To see which flight you are assigned to please see the preparation checklists. Make sure you read the cadet handbook and complete the preparation checklists well in advance! These checklists itemize the supplies you need to pack, as well as, the immunization and special travel preparations required to participate in overseas travel.
