About Us
The 25 faculty members in our department teach over 20 courses, offering programs of study in cellular & molecular biology, environmental & organismal biology, and the health professions. Of the approximately 3,000 cadets with declared majors at the Academy, about 180 have chosen to major in biology. We strive to enhance student learning through high academic standards, a welcoming yet challenging classroom environment, and extensive cadet-professor interaction. Our goal is to recognize cadets as individuals that have different educational needs, and to serve those needs as effectively as possible.
