Student Information
The symposium is open on a first-come-first-served basis to the first 200 undergraduate student registrants from colleges and universities worldwide. Undergraduate students must be between the ages of 18 and 26 to participate. THERE IS A LIMIT OF FOUR STUDENTS PER COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY. Additional registrants from a given university will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if more student openings become available.

Students not accompanied by a faculty member will be required to provide sponsorship documentation from their college or university. The deadline for providing sponsorship documentation is Friday, January 20th, 2013. Students not meeting the deadline will forfeit their slot.

Sponsorship confirmation may be in the form of a letter or email from a faculty member/advisor indicating that they are sponsoring your attendance in this program. The correspondence should be brief and indicate that you have been selected by the institution to attend the National Character and Leadership Symposium and that you are a student in good standing. Upon registration for event, specific guidance will be provided regarding sponsorship instructions.

Visiting students will be assigned a cadet escort and will room with cadet in the cadet dormitories. The two Academy dorms, Vandenberg and Sijan Hall, are co-ed dorms with shower facilities on each hall. Meals will be provided at cadet dining facility, Mitchell hall (except for Symposium Dinner Thursday Evening). Students will be responsible for Mitchell Hall meals and will be paid at the time of registration, approximately $43.00 for the duration of the conference. The Academy will provide ground transportation between the Colorado Springs Airport and the US Air Force Academy (USAFA).

There will be no ground transportation provided from Denver International Airport (DIA). Participants who choose to fly into DIA will need to arrange their transportation to USAFA.

Participants are expected to arrive Wednesday, February 22nd, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and should not plan on departing until Saturday the 25th.

All visiting students are expected to respect and abide by the rules of personal conduct and behavior that apply to all Air Force Academy cadets.
