The 10th Security Forces at the Air Force Academy conduct law enforcement duties along with security and anit-terrorism operations to protect the Cadet Wing and the entire civilian and military population of the USAFA. The 10th Security Forces Squadron is also responsible for the safety and security of hundreds of thousands of visitors at NCAA Division I Football games, parent's weekend, graduation, and numerous other special events throughout the year. Further, the 10th SFS has integrated with other agencies to provide flawless security for distinguished visitors including the President and Vice President of the United States. The squadron is comprised of mainly military personnel, with civilian personnel filling positions throughout the unit. The 10th SFS also has a mobility commitment and personnel regularly deploy to temporary duty locations throughout the world. Unit personnel have proudly served in operations such as Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Southern Watch, New Horizons 97, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Noble Eagle. |

Cops to carry Special Olympics torch through Academy Tenth Security Forces Squadron members will bear the 'Flame of Hope' by carrying the Colorado Special Olympics Summer Games Torch on May 25. The Torch will be carried through the Air Force Academy from about 1 - 2 pm, and its bearers will be running along side of the road, in an effort to get the 'Flame of Hope' to the Greeley Summer Games. - continued - 22 May 2006 Academy cop captures more kudos Senior Airman Faris Flournoy of the 10th Security Forces Squadron has done it again. Last month he was selected as the First Term Airman of the Year for Academy Chapter 1180 of the Air Force Sergeants Association. - continued - 1 May 2006 10th Security Forces Squadron conducts charity doll drive U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo., -- Members of the 10th Security Forces Squadron are doing their part in bringing joy to the Afghanistan youth through a program called "1,000 Dolls for 1,000 Girls.
