fergusonCol. Timothy D. Ferguson is Commander of the 10th Mission Support Group, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. He leads 1,900 military and civilians assigned to seven squadrons responsible for civil engineering; morale, welfare and recreation programs; military and civilian personnel, communications and computers; security forces; transportation, supply and contracting for more than 14,000 military and civilian personnel.

Colonel Ferguson earned his commission after graduating from the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of South Carolina in 1986 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. He has served in a variety of assignments encompassing law enforcement, security, air base defense and special weapons. He has commanded the 447th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron at Baghdad International Airport, Iraq, and served as detachment commander for one of the Air Force's Level II Medium Security Prisons.
