How do I get an appointment?
Sleep studies are performed to diagnose multiple sleep problems, including sleep apnea and REM disorders. Sleep studies are available on a referral basis and by appointment only, to beneficiaries aged 18 and older. After the referral is ordered, the patient will receive a call to schedule their appointment.

      About my sleep study:
Sleep studies are scheduled Mon-Sat at 2000 and 2100. The tech will get the patient up between 0500-0600 the next morning, but will wake the patient up earlier upon request as long as enough data is recorded. A few days before the appointment, the patient will receive instructions for the appointment. After the study is finished, it will take about 2 weeks before the results are completed. The patient will receive a call that their results are complete and instructions on what to do next.

Other studies performed at the sleep lab:
Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT) are also performed to diagnose Narcolepsy. These consist of a series of short naps during the day. Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests (MWT) are also performed for patients with a job requiring them to stay awake for long periods of time in sleep-inducing situations (ie. Pilots).
