      Who are Internal Medicine Patients?

Patients belonging to the Internal Medicine Clinic are TRICARE beneficiaries with multiple complex medical issues.

      How do I get empanelled to the Internal Medicine Clinic?

Individuals must be referred by their Primary Care Manager and approval is required by the Chief of Internal Medicine.

      How do I get an appointment?

A patient must be assigned to Internal Medicine Clinic. Patients can call the appointment line at 719-526-2273 or go online at www.Tricareonline.com. If you are being referred to IMC from another provider, someone from Tricare will contact you to schedule an appointment.

      How do I get my medication refilled/renewed?

Variety of ways:
  • Making an appointment with your PCM by calling the appointment line at 719-526-2273.
  • Calling the clinic directly and leaving a telephone consult: 719-333-4554 (option #2). Please Keep in mind:
         - Do not run completely out of your medication, doctors have 72 business hours to refills your medications by telephone.
         - Please be sure to have all prescription information available when you call (such as name of medication, dosage, how often you take the medication, and where you would like to pick up the medication).
         - For narcotic or controlled substances you must be seen by your PCM at least every 90 days.
      How do I obtain copies of medical information?

You will need to fill out and sign a medical release of information form with the Outpatient Records section. This process may take up to 14 business days.

      Services provided

  • Scheduled Appointments with PCM
  • Blood Pressure Checks: patient must be assigned to IMC and have a written prescription. M - F, 0800-1100 and 1300 - 1600
  • B12 Injections: M - F, 0800-1100 and 1300 – 1600
  • Schedule to attend education classes: Diabetes Class, Asthma education and Cholesterol Class
  • Telephone Consults (Questions for PCM, Nurse, Medication Refills, Lab results, etc.)
Anticoagulation Service

      How do I get an appointment With the Anticoagulation Clinic?

You must be enrolled to the 10th Med Group and be referred by your PCM to the anticoagulation clinic. Once you have been enrolled to the USAFA Anticoagulation clinic and need an appointment please call the clinic at (719) 526-4554. If they are unable to assist you please call the anticoagulation clinic directly at (719) 333-5883.

Infusion Service

Pt must be referred by a PCM to the Infusion Clinic. An individual from the Infusion Clinic will contact you to schedule an appointment once the referral has been processed. The infusion clinic is located in the ASU; appointments are available on Wednesday and Thursday only.

  • Acute Care Clinic at 719-333-5005
  • For Emergencies call 911
This is for patients empanelled to the 10th MDG who require intravenous infusions of certain medications.


      Inclement Weather Policy

2 hour delay:
If the base issues a two hour delay due to bad weather, all medical group appointments up to 0930 will be cancelled. Please call central appointments on the next duty day to reschedule your appointment if you have not been contacted by clinic personnel.

Base closure:
If the base closes due to bad weather all medical appointments will be cancelled. Please call central appointments the next duty day to reschedule your appointment if you have not been contacted by clinic personnel.
