Hours of operation:
The dental clinic is open Monday through Friday from 0700 - 1600 hours excluding federal holidays.

      Where are you located and where should I park.

The Academy Dental Clinic is located in the cadet area in Fairchild Hall East. All patients must enter the cadet area through the gate near the field house and will be issued a pass after surrendering their drivers license.

      Services provided

The Academy Dental Clinic provides all dental services except for pediatric dentistry.

  • Preventive Dentistry (examinations and cleanings)
  • Restorative Dentistry (fillings)
  • Oral Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Periodontics (treatment of gum disease)
  • Endodontics (root canals)
  • Prosthodontics (full/partial dentures & bridges)
      Access to care priority:

Personnel in Dental Class 3 Status - Those personnel who have dental conditions that are likely to result in a dental emergency within 12 months if not treated.

Personnel in Dental Class 4 Status - Those who have not had a routine check-up within the past 12 months.

Personnel on Flying Status and Mobility

All Other Active Duty Personnel

Active Duty Family Members - Those enrolled in the TRICARE Active Duty Family Member Dental Plan are not eligible to receive services in military dental facilities except in these cases:

  • Emergencies
  • To obtain care the plan does not cover, but only on a space-available basis
  • To serve the unique needs of Air Force residency training programs
  • To serve as specialty board cases for dentists
  • To allow Air Force dental specialties to maintain proficiency within their dental specialty
Retirees and their family members - non - emergency services are provided as necessary to meet training requirements of the dental residency program or may be available on a space-available basis.

Space Available Care - Our priority is to provide care toactive duty members.

All other eligible beneficiaries may be seen on a space-available basis only.

Other-than-active-duty-personnel must be physically present in the dental clinic and wait for an unfilled appointment of the appropriate type and length in order to receive care.

      After-hours dental emergencies:

Patients who have after-hours dental emergencies (severe pain, swelling, bleeding) should report to the Academy Hospital Acute Care Clinic.
