The Family Advocacy Program provides a variety of services to military members active/retired and their families to enhance relationship skills and improve member’s quality of life. The program is dedicated to domestic violence prevention, spousal and child abuse prevention, education, prompt reporting, intervention and treatment. Family Advocacy staff work closely and collaboratively with commands, military law enforcement personnel, medical staff personnel, chaplains and civilian organizations to promote the prevention and early identification of family violence and help military families develop healthier relationships.

A safe house that provides emergency shelter, food, case management, counseling and support to female victims and their children who have become homeless because of domestic violence. 24 hour crisis line: 719-633-3819

      Helping Grow Healthy Families and Healthy Relationships

Marriage/family counseling for couples experiencing conflict. (For active duty military and their families).

PREP: (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program) A class for couples to improve communication (full day).

Additional classes offered: Common Sense Parenting, Stress Management and Anger Management

      Services for Parents and Expectant Parents

New Parent Support Program

A voluntary program offering home visitation services to help expectant and new parents to meet their challenging roles as mother, father and family. Information regarding resources and classes that are available in both civilian and military community is provided. Call 719-333-5270 for additional information or to sign up for parenting classes.

      Inclement Weather Policy

During adverse weather all appointments are cancelled during delayed base opening periods. Check local TV/radio for any delayed opening information prior to leaving home for an appointment.
