Col (Dr.) Kenneth K. Knight is the Commander, 10th Medical Group, United States Air Force Academy, Colorado. He serves in multiple capacities, to include as the USAFA Command Surgeon, Hospital Commander, and Senior Market Manager for the Colorado Springs Multiservice Market. In these roles, Col Knight ensures healthcare for 24,342 active duty and retirees and their families in addition to 4,709 cadets and future leaders of the USAF, oversees regional medical care for more than 144,274 eligible beneficiaries, as well as ensures the preparedness of 531 medics to deploy. Col Knight is a 1986 distinguished graduate from the US Air Force Academy. In May 1990, he earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas. In June 1997, he completed his residency in Aerospace and Occupational Medicine. Col Knight has served at various base level positions up to group commander and has served on staff for HQ AETC, HQ ACC, and HQ AF. Col Knight also has deployed eleven times in support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM, and ENDURING FREEDOM. During these deployments, he served in various positions including the CENTAF Forward Surgeon. |
